Frederick, Maryland, April 14, 2004 - The Frederick-based Plamondon Companies announced today the opening of the new Roy Rogers Restaurant in Gaithersburg, Maryland. Located at 9607 Lost Knife Road in Montgomery Village Crossing, this is the Plamondon's second venture into Montgomery County. They opened their first Montgomery County Roy Rogers Restaurant in Germantown in December of 2001.
This new restaurant opening follows the Plamondon Companies' November 2003 announcement of the revitalization of the Roy Rogers brand with its purchase of the "Roy Rogers Rides Again" plan that includes marketing, operations and training programs for current franchisees as well as prospective franchisees. Two existing franchisees have recently endorsed this new agreement. They are Todd's Restaurants, Inc., operating four Roy Rogers Restaurants in Alexandria, Virginia, and Gould's Restaurants, Inc. operating two Roy Rogers Restaurants in southern Maryland.
Co-president, Jim Plamondon, stated, "Montgomery County residents were thrilled to see us open a Roy Rogers in Germantown two years ago. Gaithersburg has been as eagerly anticipated. We hope that it will be successful and will help Roy Rogers to ride again!"
