Creative Host Services Signs Roy Rogers Franchise Agreement for the Baltimore/Washington Airport Restaurant

Frederick, MD – July 8, 2004 – Roy Rogers Franchise Company, LLC, announced today that Creative Host Services, Inc. has signed a new franchise agreement for the Roy Rogers located in the Baltimore/Washington International Airport.  Creative Host Services has joined forces with Select Service Partners to re-open the Roy Rogers as part of an interim phase of new retail development led by master developer BAA Maryland.

This new agreement follows the Plamondon Companies’ November 2003 announcement of the revitalization of the Roy Rogers brand with its purchase of the Roy Rogers trademark and franchise system.  The company has implemented an ambitious “Roy Rogers Rides Again” plan that includes marketing, operations and training programs for current franchisees as well as prospective franchisees.   Two existing franchisees have recently endorsed this new program.  They are Gould Restaurants, Inc., operating two Roy Rogers Restaurants in southern Maryland, and Todd Restaurants, Inc., operating four Roy Rogers Restaurants in Alexandria, Virginia.

Creative Host Services, Inc., a California corporation based in San Diego, was founded in 1987 by

Mr. Sayed Ali, and operated French style cafes.  In 1989, CHS entered the airport food and beverage concession market with the award of a concession food and beverage concept at the John Wayne Airport in Orange County, California.  In 1994, the Company received its first multiple concession contract for the Denver International Airport.  Today, CHS operates national brands in 130 concessions at 30 airports nationwide, including such locations as Los Angeles International Airport, Logan International Airport and Newark, New York Airport.

“We are delighted to be working with this fast growing and strategically important airport,” said Roddy McOwan, president of Select Service Partner North America.  “The new venture has enabled us to consolidate our presence on the east coast of the US, and will provide a firm foundation for future expansion in a key market.”

Jim Plamondon, co-President of Roy Rogers Franchise Company, stated, “We are pleased to have CHS join our new program.  The BWI Roy Rogers is one of the busiest in our system, providing exposure to thousands of travelers every day.  CHS is known for concessions that offer quality and fresh product in a friendly, comfortable environment.  The Company has extensive airport experience with a reputation for distinguished customer service.”

The Plamondon Companies are the franchisor for Roy Rogers Restaurants and operate 15 corporate Roy Rogers Restaurants and 42 franchise locations.
