PJB Enterprises, Inc. Signs Roy Rogers Franchise Agreement for the Solomons Island, Maryland Restaurant

Frederick, MD – July 6, 2005 – Roy Rogers Franchise Company, LLC, announced today that PJB Enterprises, Inc. has signed a franchise agreement for the Roy Rogers located at Solomons Island, Maryland.

This new agreement follows the Plamondon Companies’ November 2003 announcement of the revitalization of the Roy Rogers brand with its purchase of the Roy Rogers trademark and franchise system.  The company has implemented an ambitious “Roy Rogers Rides Again” plan that includes marketing, operations and training programs for current franchisees as well as prospective franchisees.  

Patience Barton, President of PJB Enterprises, Inc. brings with her many years of experience with Roy Rogers.  In 1984, while still attending high school, Mrs. Barton began working for the current franchisee Gould Restaurants, Inc., at the La Plata, Maryland Roy Rogers restaurant.  After graduating, Mrs. Barton held several positions such as shift manager and training manager.  In 1989 she assumed the duties and responsibilities of office manager, while continuing to work closely with the owner, Ken Gould, Sr. and vice president Ken Gould, Jr. with the day to day operations. 

In April of 2005, Mrs. Barton formed her own company, PJB Enterprises, Inc., and joined the Roy Rogers franchise family with the purchase of the 14000 H.G. Truman Road, Solomons Island, Maryland Roy Rogers, formerly owned by Gould Restaurant, Inc.
