FREDERICK, Maryland, August 11, 2005—Roy Rogers Restaurants announced today the promotion of its 8-piece fried chicken for $7.99 through October 4. Roy Rogers’ fresh fried chicken is cooked to a golden brown and served with homemade biscuits.
The $7.99 fried chicken offer will run for approximately eight weeks in 23 restaurants throughout Maryland, Virginia and New Jersey, and will be supported through radio advertising and local store marketing activities.
Director of Operations, Barbara Pacifico, stated, “We wanted to do a promotion that reinforced one of our core menu items—our fried chicken. Plus, this is a great time of year to promote fried chicken with back-to-school activities, picnics and football season.”
Roy Rogers is franchised by The Plamondon Companies, which operates 15 corporate restaurants and 40 franchise locations in the Mid-Atlantic region, and is in the process of re-igniting the brand and the franchise system.
