Frederick, Maryland - September 6, 2006 - Roy Rogers Restaurants announced today the promotion of its Chicken Fajita Sandwich through the end of October. The Chicken Fajita Sandwich was first introduced three years ago as a limited time only menu item, but had not been promoted since that time due to other new products. The Fajita consists of grilled chicken strips, sauteed onions and peppers and melted Monterey Jack cheese on a hearth-baked sub roll. As always, guests can customize this sandwich by visiting Roy's famous Fixin's Bar, which features a dozen different condiments, like fresh lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and salsa.
The Chicken Fajita Sandwich sells for $3.79, and the combo, which includes a regular side dish and regular drink, costs $5.79. The Fajita promotion will run for approximately eight weeks in 20 restaurants throughout Maryland and Virginia, and will be supported through radio advertising and local store marketing activities.
Director of Operations, Barbara Pacifico, stated, "The Chicken Fajita is a hearty sandwich that really fits our brand and has the high quality our guests have come to expect from Roy Rogers."
