FREDERICK, MD, Roy Rogers Franchise Company announced today that Super Value CT, LLC has signed a new long-term franchise agreement for a Roy Rogers located in North Stonington, CT.

“We are excited to partner with Michael Dattilo and his organization, said Jim Plamondon, co-president of Roy Rogers Franchise Company.  “They bring great operational experience and have hospitality experience as well.  These attributes will result in a first class operation and support our strategy of Roy Rogers being a cut-above fast food restaurants.”

The Roy Rogers Restaurant will be located at the American Auto Stop Center off of Exit 93 on Interstate 95 at the Connecticut/Rhode Island state border.  It will be the 36^th franchised location for Roy Rogers.  The Roy Rogers is part of a newly constructed 25,000 square foot travel center to serve the motoring public with parking for 120 trucks and another 70 cars.  The center will have 9 diesel fueling stations and 10 gasoline fueling stations.  It will also have a Sbarro Restaurant, Stuckey’s, a full service deli and restaurant and a convenience store. 

The American Auto Stop “will be the premiere travel center for the motoring public and will be the favorite destination for travelers through the area” said franchise owner Michael Dattilo.  “It will be a state of the art travel center that will provide truckers with air conditioning, heat, telephone, cable and movies in the comfort of their vehicles without having to idle the engines.  A truck driver may choose to make reservations to guarantee a parking space to avoid the time and fuel of searching for an acceptable place to park and rest,” Dattilo added.

Michael Dattilo is the member of Super Value CT, LLC the operator of the American Auto Stop.  Mr. Dattilo and his group of companies, based in Spring Valley, Rockland County, New York, engage in the wholesale and retail distribution of petroleum products.  The group owns and operates a network of gasoline service stations/convenience stores in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut. 

Michael Dattilo is also the President and sole Shareholder of DGG Properties (Conn.), which owns and operates the Water’s Edge Resort and Spa, a 200-unit hotel property located in Westbrook, Connecticut.
