What will I receive as part of the Roy Rogers franchise system?
You’ll receive a designated franchise area, initial training, advice and recommendations for site selection, on-site startup assistance, detailed operations manuals and permission to use Roy Rogers’ trademarks.
What is the term of the franchise agreement?
The initial term of your Roy Rogers franchise agreement is 20 years.
What is the initial franchise fee?
The initial franchise fee is $30,000. This fee enables us to provide a wide-range of pre-opening support services to our new franchise owners.
How much is the initial investment?
The estimated initial investment required, including the initial franchise fee, ranges from $767,250 to $1,580,950, assuming that land is not purchased for your new restaurant. The actual investment required is dependent on many factors.
What is the royalty rate?
A royalty of 5% of gross sales is paid on a monthly basis. The royalty helps to fund our support of franchise owners, as well as continued development of the Roy Rogers system.
What is the marketing fee?
A fee of up to 3% of gross sales may be collected for franchise-wide marketing and promotional efforts.
Do I need prior experience?
Experience in the food industry is preferred for the Principal Owner. The Franchisee shall have one (1) Director of Operations (or a district manager or equivalent position above the level of property supervisor/managers) to develop and lead a strong restaurant service team.The Franchisee's Director of Operations and Principal Owner may be the same person.
What training will I receive?
Prior to opening your restaurant, we’ll provide you and your managers approximately 8 weeks of comprehensive training. The training includes classroom as well as hands-on experience in one or more restaurants. The cost of this training is included in your franchise fee, although you’ll be responsible for any travel, food, lodging and salary expenses for you and your managers.
What about ongoing support?
We will continue to provide help with all aspects of growing your business. We want you to succeed, and our entire corporate team will make their expertise and guidance available to you. In addition, we periodically update our Operations Manual with new procedures and other information to keep you on the leading edge of the restaurant industry.
How much money can I make?
Profitability depends on many factors, including operating and occupancy costs, financing terms, and most important, your ability to operate the business effectively.
